V\u00e9rifi\u00e9 par James Whitty de la Society of Ploughmen, cet exploit d\u00e9montre la viabilit\u00e9 du travail autonome des champs dans des conditions r\u00e9elles. <\/p>\n\n<p>L&rsquo;AgBot a maintenu une profondeur de 23 cm et une largeur de sillon de 40 cm, fonctionnant \u00e0 5,6-8 km\/h avec un seul arr\u00eat de ravitaillement. Sa consommation de carburant \u00e9tait en moyenne de 18,4 L\/ha, \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 celle des tracteurs conventionnels. Les essais pr\u00e9liminaires ont montr\u00e9 que l&rsquo;AgBot utilisait 4,6 % de carburant en moins qu&rsquo;un Fendt 828 Vario de l&rsquo;exploitation, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa cha\u00eene cin\u00e9matique efficace et \u00e0 l&rsquo;absence de demandes \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques pour le confort de la cabine.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Un logiciel de planification avanc\u00e9 a pr\u00e9-cartographi\u00e9 les limites du champ et optimis\u00e9 les sch\u00e9mas de travail.
