As an Operational Buyer, you help build autonomous agricultural machinery that is deployed in fields worldwide. You ensure that parts, suppliers, and production remain perfectly aligned, so our AgBots can be built.
This means you are not just managing any purchasing process, but working on a unique end product that you see take shape from up close.
Purpose of the role:
As an Operational Buyer at AgXeed, you play a crucial role in our supply chain. You are responsible for the timely and efficient procurement of materials and services, maintaining supplier relations, and optimizing purchasing processes.
You work closely with production and regularly coordinate with colleagues from departments such as engineering and operations. A technical background is not required. However, it helps if you have an interest in technology, are curious about how things work, and get energy from organizing, following up, and coordinating.
Key responsibilities:
- Placing purchase orders and monitoring delivery times.
- Maintaining and building relationships with suppliers.
- Accurately maintaining prices, delivery terms, and contracts in our ERP system.
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating deliveries.
- Identifying and resolving procurement issues.
- Collaborating with other departments to understand and meet their purchasing needs.
Requirements:
- Completed vocational or higher professional education (MBO/HBO) in a commercial or technical field.
- Proven experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation skills and a commercial mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
