Van der Maar Landbouwmechanisatie based in Groningen & Friesland started its activities as distribution and service partner of AgXeed B.V. from July 2025.
AgXeed is expanding its network of dealers throughout the Netherlands. With several locations in Groningen, Hornhuizen & Uithuizen, and one in Friesland, Ferwert, van der Maar Landbouwmechanisatie covers the northern part of the Netherlands. Van der Maar sees the robot tractor as an important next step in the automation of agricultural processes.
According to Jasper van den Berg, Salesman at Van der Maar, the AgBot is in tune with the strategy of Van der Maar:
“We want to be at the forefront of agricultural innovations and AgXeed fits perfectly into our work field.”
Van der Maar is certified for measuring fields, which is crucial for setting up an autonomous system. However, farmers can also do that themselves if they want to. Additionally, Van der Maar will cover the full sales procedure, service and support for customers:
“We are in the middle of a high-quality seed potato area, in light as well as heavy clay soils. Because of our coverage, we can provide fast service.”
At Van der Maar, there is enthusiasm noticeable. The coming months they will be busy with demonstrations of the 156 hp AgBot 5.115T2 to get familiar with the system and of course to show customers the benefits of autonomy.
