AgBots

Please check out our distribution & service locator. Our partners are happy to organize a demo or visit to one of our current customers.

Standard implements with a 3-point linkage can be used in the field with an AgBot. Applications which the machines can perform differ from soil- and seedbed preparation, stubble tillage or weeding to (flail) mowing or grassland maintenance. Furthermore, our W3 was designed in a special crop care configuration which makes it possible for spraying applications in orchards. Tasks like ploughing or seeding are in development. Together with other partners within the 3A program, solutions for smart implements are developed. With the help of communication over ISOBUS TIM, the implements will be able to send messages to the AgBot. The AgBot eventually can react to, for example implement blockages, stone collisions etc.

The 5.115T2 has a 115kW / 156HP and the 2.055W3 and 2.055W4 have both a 55kW / 75HP diesel engine which is connected to a generator. This generator produces electricity for two motors on each side of the vehicles. The wheeled machines are therefore 2-wheel drive and the tracks of the T2 are independently driven. The electrical drivetrain ensures high torque with minimal losses, which will lead to higher power train efficiency.

During peak times the AgBot can perform repetitive jobs and help get the work done if the timeframe is short. At 75% engine load, the AgBot can work for 20 hours. With good planning and sufficient deployment capacity the AgBot can be used for up to 2000 hours per year!

The main differences between the three models are the power and the drive setup combined with their utility. The 5.115T2 is our strongest machine with soil preserving crawler tracks, the 2.055W4 is a light but versatile machine for light soil applications and maintenance with the possibility to vary between wheel configurations and track widths and the 2.055W3 is a narrow three-wheeled machine designed to perform (smart) applications in orchards with the possibility to configure several tire width options.

Yes, the AgBots are allowed to drive up to a maximum of 13,5 km/h in autonomous mode. However, it is recommended to select a speed that matches the certain application best to perform maximum utilization of the vehicle.

Software, portal and routing

Select a field, choose one of your AgBot-Implement combinations and define your desired process parameters like working speed, working depth or hydraulic control valve settings. Afterwards you choose your desired reference A-B line and then the portal takes over and creates automatically the whole routing and task.

To set up a field in the portal, it needs to be measured by hand first by a certified person so that we are assured that the field boundaries are correct and no overlap with roads, ditches or tree lines will occur. Setting up the field is then very easy to perform, including several options for performing the pre-calculated route. For example, the headland management can be performed differently, but the way of performing mainland tasks can also be configured.

The monitor including information of the current task can be viewed in the mobile application or from the web portal. In the monitor you can configure which sensor data must be shown, the task and current lane process and the ability to view the footage of the two cameras on the vehicles.

Operations

Our distribution partners will first survey your field by hand of GNSS technology. Afterwards they will upload the geofences into you personal AgXeed portal account. Once you log into the portal, your AgBots are already in there. To complete the story, our distribution partners will also digitize your implements, which will then be virtually connected to your AgBots in the portal. Now you are ready to set up your first tasks.

Yes, you can ‘Pause’ or ‘Stop’ Autonomy from the monitor. When autonomy is paused, it can be resumed. When autonomy is stopped the engine will stall and a visit to the machine is required to get it running again.

Setting up tasks does not require long and can be performed prior to performing the task. However, it is also possible to plan the task way before the work must be done and save it for later. Planned tasks can eventually be sent to the machine at any time when it is connected to the internet. In this way, workload can be distributed, and a farmer will be fully prepared at times of peak labor.

When there is sufficient satellite coverage and coverage for a mobile internet connection to receive correction data, the AgBot will be able to perform its routing in full autonomy mode. When the mobile connection is lost, a buffer capacity of up to 20 minutes is covered. When the connection is not re-established, the task will be stopped. The AgBots contain multiple receivers containing various correction techniques which makes it possible to create redundancy in times of connection failures.

Safety and Security

Certified users can upload field boundaries, configure tasks, and send these tasks to the AgBot. When the AgBot is safely deployed to a field, the task can be performed fully autonomously. Which means that when the AgBot runs in the field, no supervision is required.

Based on a thoroughly performed risk assessment and hazard analyses, the fitted robust safety systems and within the limits/constrains of its intended use (ask for the operator manual) AgXeed trusts the AgBot of being capable of operating fully autonomously in the field without any local human supervision and therefor supplying the wanted efficiency gains for our customers.

The operator manual states that and how the vehicles can be used in autonomy mode. Furthermore, every machine will be delivered together with an EC Declaration of Conformity which indicates which harmonized standards have been partly or fully applied and which directives will be followed. Furthermore, all machines are fitted with a CE mark.

The AgBots comply with the most relevant EU regulations which means that it is meeting standards of the European Commission. If there are local restrictions in the use of highly automated or autonomous agricultural vehicles, then AgXeed wants to be informed, have a look into these regulations and see to which extent the current safety applications match the regional standards.
